Rock worms were venom-spitting creatures. Early in Pohatu's time on Mata Nui, Po-Koro was under attack from rock worms. Knowing that getting too close to them would mean certain defeat, Pohatu used his skill at kicking boulders to defeat them, ricocheting boulders off multiple cliff walls and downing dozens of the beasts at once.1
