Greg Farshtey chose to focus on Kopaka in the first comic because he always liked Kopaka. He ruled out Onua because he was the main focus of the first video and Tahu because he was the first Toa focused on in the Mata Nui Online Game.1
By March 2007, this was still Greg Farshtey's favorite comic.2
Extra Content
The inside front cover provides brief backstory. One page is devoted to promoting professional skateboarder Andy Macdonald's involvement in Bionicle events. The centerfold contains information on the Toa and Turaga. Back pages promote www.bionicle.com and the Bionicle PC game (coming Fall 2001) and its Beta Test. The back cover advertises the BIONICLE Trading Card Game.
Special Edition
A special edition of this comic with alternate cover artwork was later released at San Diego Comic-Con.
