• In the movie, Matau appears surprised he could use his aero slicers to fly and shows them off to Nokama. This scene appears chronologically after he has already used them to fly in comics. The movie writers were focused on the Toa discovering their powers and couldn't work under the assumption that people who saw the movie had already read the comics because only a small percentage of BIONICLE fans did so. Being consistent with the comics was not a concern of theirs.¹
