BIONICLE Ignition #4: A Cold Light Dawns is the fourth issue of the BIONICLE Ignition comic book series.

The centerfold promotes the Free the Band sweepstakes. The premise of the promotion is that the band All-American Rejects has been lost at sea, and readers are invited to help the Toa Inika free the band for a chance to win prizes online at www.freetheband.com. Prizes include an exclusive Free the Band-themed skateboard deck, CD's of the All-American Rejects, the BIONICLE Heroes video game, Free the Band T-shirts, a BIONICLE-branded Gibson Spirit guitar, and Toa Inika sets. One grand prize winner and four friends will ride in a Gibson tour bus to see the All-American Rejects in concert and meet the band. The promotion begins on August 17, 2006 at at Noon EST and ends on October 16, 2006 at 11:59:59 PM EST. The promotion is open only to legal residents of the United States residing in the United States (except Puerto Rico) and Canada (except Quebec). Entrants must be between the ages of 6 and 17 at the time of registration.

Two back pages announce the BIONICLE Blaze of Battle Challenge, a contest inviting readers to submit photographs of battle scenes between the Piraka and Toa Inika made using the BIONICLE figures. Contestants are required to submit a color photograph of their battle scene along with an essay of no more than 500 words detailing how they thing the battle will end. Five winners will receive their choice of BIONICLE sets worth up to $100. The deadline for submissions is January 5th, 2007 at midnight.
The back cover promotes the BIONICLE Zamor Sphere Challenge. Readers are invited to visit select Wal-Mart stores in October and test their shooting skills with the new Toa Inika Zamor Sphere Launcher. Participants will receive a free poster featuring the Wal-Mart special edition set Umbra.
