BIONICLE Legends #6: City of the Lost

Other Information

  • As of May 27, 2006, Greg was about three quarters done with writing the book, with 6,000 words left to go. According to him, this was behind schedule.1 The next day, Greg realized the book would need a polish in order to shift some Matoran roles around and make the villains more evil. He had just told the BIONICLE bosses in Denmark how the book ends. Greg tried to make sure the characters from the high-priced sets from 2006 continued into the 2007 in some way, as a courtesy to people who bought the sets.2 Greg finished the book and sent it to Scholastic on May 29.3
  • To answer a fan question in late October 2006, Greg Farshtey sent a paragraph from the prologue to BIONICLE Legends #6. He stated that he may have to change part of the paragraph he sent, as it mentioned Dark Hunters and he wasn't sure if they were around at the time. Originally he believed they weren't, but he said he needed to check his timeline to confirm whether the paragraph needed to be changed or not. The sentence in question read "Some were Matoran criminals, others ex-Dark Hunters seeking refuge from their former employer, and by far the majority were simply beings who did no long welcome in their homelands."4 This sentence was modified in the final book to read "Some were Matoran criminals, others violent brutes looking for the chance to fight, and by far the majority were simply beings who were no longer welcome in their homelands.".5
