Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle, often referred to simply as MNOG2, was an online, Flash-based role-playing game released in 2003 on the official Bionicle website. Chronologically, the game takes place between the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal and the events of Mask of Light. The player plays as the Ga-Matoran Hahli, who is chosen to represent Ga-Koro in an island-wide Kolhii tournament and must travel to each village and defeat the other villages' teams in Kolhii matches.
Canonicity
The Matoran characters and their names may be considered official.1
The names in the game, including the alternate spellings for some of the 2004 Matoran, were never legally approved and were therefore not canon.2
