Rode

The Kanohi Rode was the Kanohi Mask of Truth. It allowed its user to see through any deception or disguise.1

Notes

The Kanohi Roden [sic, Rode] was the Great Mask of Truth. It could pierce any disguise and spot any deception.2

The Great Rode allowed its user to see through any disguise and detect any deception.3 It enabled Axonn to see and communicate with the spirit form of Toa Matoro.1

Interaction With Iden Spirits

An Iden user's projection would appear to be a ghost to a Rode user.8

A Rode user might be able to communicate with the spirit form of an Iden user.9

A Rode user could see an Iden user because invisibility was, in a sense, a lie because it concealed a being from normal sight.10

Rode users could see the spirit forms of Iden users because being invisible was a form of lying, as it concealed the truth.11

A Rode user couldn't detect if a body was possessed by another being's spirit.12

A Rode user could detect that a spirit possessing another being's body was lying if they verbally claimed to be the owner of the body they were possessing.13

Other Information

  • Axonn's information on LEGO's Shop at Home website referred to his Kanohi as the "Roden". Greg Farshtey stated this was likely correct on occasions when he didn't have his name list on hand.14, 15
  • The mask was spelled "Rode" in the story bible, not "Roden" as other materials stated.16
