The Kanohi Rode was the Mask of Truth. Axonn could use it to tell whether someone was telling the truth.[4]

The Kanohi Rode, the Great Mask of Truth, was worn by Axonn. It allowed its user to see through any deception or disguise. It also allowed Axonn to see and communicate with Toa Matoro when Matoro was in spirit form.[5]

The Rode was likely made using disks other than those found in Metru Nui.[6]

There was more than one Rode.[7]

Interaction With Iden Spirits

An Iden user's projection would appear to be a ghost to a Rode user.[8]

A Rode user might be able to communicate with the spirit form of an Iden user.[9]

A Rode user could see an Iden user because invisibility was, in a sense, a lie because it concealed a being from normal sight.[10]

Rode users could see the spirit forms of Iden users because being invisible was a form of lying, as it concealed the truth.[11]

A Rode user couldn't detect if a body was possessed by another being's spirit.[12]

A Rode user could detect that a spirit possessing another being's body was lying if they verbally claimed to be the owner of the body they were possessing.[13]

Other Information

  • Axonn's information on LEGO's Shop at Home website referred to his Kanohi as the "Roden". Greg Farshtey stated this was likely correct on occasions when he didn't have his name list on hand.[14, 15]
  • The mask was spelled "Rode" in the story bible, not "Roden" as other materials stated.[16]
