Ackar observed that just before the bird turned left, its left wing fluttered a little, and before it turned right, its right wing fluttered. Ackar used this observation to predict when and in which direction the bird was about to turn.1
Out-of-universe
This creature's only appearance is in BIONICLE: Challenge of Mata Nui. Although it is never named in that book, the BIONICLE fan magazine The Chronicler ran a contest which canonized the bird's name as "cave shrike."
