The Matoran Resistance was a small band of Voya Nui villagers who fought a valiant battle against the invading Piraka. Its members were Garan, Balta, Dalu, Velika, Piruk, and Kazi.1

When the Piraka enslaved the Matoran population with zamor spheres, only six escaped: Garan, Piruk, Velika, Kazi, Balta, and Dalu. They formed the Matoran Resistance, hiding in the mountains and harassing the Piraka.2
