plasma shield

The plasma shields were a pair of weapons carried by Pahrak-Kal.^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7} They could superheat any substance (rock, metal, etc.) until it became plasma^{2, 3, 6, 7} or molten liquid^{1, 8}. The could focus and emit a stream of superheated plasma at a temperature of roughly 2,000 degrees.^{4, 5} They could be used as offensive weapons, turning any obstacle into a molten mass.^{2, 7} They could also be used for fast and effective tunneling.^{2, 3, 7} They could also be used defensively, melting any incoming projectile or attack into a mass of plasma.^{2, 3, 6, 7} The plasma shields were detachable weapons, but they needed to be connected to Pahrak-Kal to work.^{9, 10, 11}

Since the Bahrag created Pahrak-Kal by mutating an ordinary Pahrak^{12, 13, 14, 15}, the plasma shields may have originally been stone shields. They were presumably destroyed when Pahrak-Kal succumbed to its own plasma power and melted through the ground.^{16, 17, 6}
