Stinger tails were the natural, scorpion-like tails on Vorox.^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} A Vorox was quick enough to use his sword, Thornax launcher, and stinger tail all at once, so battling one was like taking on three enemies at once.⁴ Vorox used these weapons to ambush foes.^{1, 2} The stinger appeared to be entirely mechanical.⁷

Vorox were originally members of the Glatorian species, who did not have tails, but the Great Beings genetically tinkered with them, resulting in their having stinger tails.^{8, 9}

Mata Nui once salvaged a Vorox's stinger tail that had broken off in a fight, and later transformed it into a sword using the Mask of Life.^{10, 11}
