Thok was a Dark Hunter2 and later a Piraka.3 He traveled with the Piraka to Voya Nui in search of the Mask of Life, although he planned the entire time to betray them and steal it for himself. He was an expert at manipulating others and abandoning them when things went wrong. He carried an ice peg gun, possessed spellbinder vision that could disorient opponents, and had the power to bring inanimate objects to life under his control. He had elemental ice power which could only be used in conjunction with the powers of another Piraka.4
Notes
Thok, "the Drifter," was intelligent and manipulative and delighted in setting his fellow Piraka against each other. He was confident than when all was said and done, only he would be left alive to claim the Mask of Life. Thok carried an ice peg and ice weapon that could freeze anything instantly. In addition, his spellbinder vision could disorient a foe. His most potent power was the ability to bring any inanimate object to life and make it serve him.5
Thok was brilliant, arrogant, and did not work well with others. This was partly because he tended to abandon his companions to their fate when things went wrong. He was a bit too good at exploiting the conflict between his teammates and turning them against each other to his own advantage. Thok turned out to be an excellent hunter of Toa. He would not hesitate to sacrifice everyone else on his team in order to reach his target.6
Thok had the power to bring any inanimate object – a rock, a tree, a piece of equipment – to life and make it serve him. He had a natural immunity to extreme cold. His ice weapon allowed him to freeze others instantly. His spellbinder vision could be used to disorient an opponent long enough for capture. Extreme heat weakened Thok. He could be driven slightly mad by having to spend too much time around others.6
The Shadowed One was not surprised that Thok chose to defect from the Dark Hunters to join the Piraka.6
Thok cared more about looting enemies than about fighting them.7
Thok was an expert at manipulating others and then abandoning them when things went wrong. From the beginning, Thok knew and counted on the fact that none of the Piraka trusted each other. He made alliances with each of the other five, promising to share the power of the Mask of Life with them, when he had no intention to do so. Thok carried an ice peg gun and a zamor sphere launcher. He possessed spellbinder vision that could disorient opponents, and he had the power to bring inanimate objects to life under his control. He also had elemental ice power that could only be used in combination with the powers of another Piraka.8
Thok's spellbinder vision was confined to disorientation.9
If Thok used his animation power on a rock, it would become animated and do his bidding.10
Thok could not reanimate corpses.11
The energy Thok used to give life to objects was likely proportional to the object's size.12
Thok's ice peg was for climbing glaciers.13
Thok's weapon shot ice.14
Thok's ice gun was a manifestation of his elemental power.15
Thok's ice gun did not have powers of its own, it channeled Thok's elemental powers.16
Thok could only use elemental powers independently from another Skakdi through his weapon.17
