Kinloka

Kinloka were a large, nasty species of rodent Rahi. They were the result of an experiment by the Brotherhood of Makuta to produce a Rahi with a more efficient digestive system. The result was a creature that was constantly hungry and ate anything. They were native to Le-Metru but were seen all over Metru Nui. None were seen on Mata Nui.1

Notes

Although this creature, the Kinloka, resembled an insect, it was in fact a particularly vicious form of large rodent. A distant relative of the stone rats of Onu-Metru, this creature seemed to be the result of an experiment to produce an animal with a more efficient digestive system. The unfortunate results was a nasty beast that was always hungry and would devour anything in its path. They commonly carried disks with the weaken power to slow down opponents.2

The outcome was a creature that was constantly hungry and ate anything in its path. Although they made a home in Le-Metru, they had been seen all over the city. A swarm of Kinloka was once spotted consuming an entire Po-Metru assemblers' village – houses, tools, and all – in less than fifteen minutes.3

Kinloka were commonly found in the vicinity of the Moto-Hub, although they were also spotted in the neighboring districts of Ko-Metru and Ta-Metru. It seemed to be the result of an experiment to produce a Rahi with a more efficient digestive system. The unfortunate result was a nasty beast that was always hungry and devoured anything in its path. Kinloka normally attacked in large packs and were able to devour entire structures in seconds. An unusual feature of the Kinloka was its ability to carry Kanoka disks to fling at enemies. It made up for its lack of strength and throwing distance with pinpoint accuracy. Kinloka were known to carry a variety of Kanoka, but they commonly used disks with the weaken power to slow down opponents.4

Even Rahaga Bomonga considered Kinloka ugly and detestable.4

Kinloka had menaced assemblers' villages in the past.5

Kinloka were rodents, found in many places, among them Zakaz. When the Skakdi needed to cross land that might be booby-trapped, they sent a kinloka through first. The creatures set off the traps and the Skakdi could cross safely. This was known as a "stalking kinloka."6
