hydro blades

The hydro blades were a pair of tools that served as Nokama's Toa tools when she was a Toa Metru.^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} Nokama used them to channel her elemental power of water.⁷ They could pull Nokama through water at high speed^{1, 2, 8, 9, 4, 5} and could even pull her fast enough to ski on the water's surface.^{8, 10} They were strong enough to shatter solid rock.⁷ Nokama could twirl them rapidly to block attacks, such as Krekka's energy webs.¹¹

Nokama selected these tools from a compartment in the Toa Suva when she first became a Toa.^{8, 11} When Nokama was mutated into a Toa Hordika, the hydro blades mutated into fin barbs. When Keetongu cured her, the hydro blades returned to their original form.^CN After Nokama became a Turaga, the hydro blades were stored away, and it's unclear what ultimately became of them.^{12, 13} They did not become Nokama's Trident, as that was made from Makuta fish bones.^{14, 15, 16}
