Jaller's Hahnah

A Hahnah crab assisted Toa Mahri Jaller during the Toa Mahri's underwater mission in the Pit.^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5} Shortly after the Toa Mahri arrived in the Pit, this friendly creature was attracted to a lukewarm flame made by Jaller, as heat and light were a rarity so far beneath the sea.⁶ It befriended Jaller and from then on followed him everywhere.² It could use its claws to tear apart sea squid, once rescuing Kongu from a sea squid attack.⁶ Before the Toa Mahri launched a major attack on the Barraki at the Razor Whale's Teeth to retrieve the Mask of Life, Jaller, at Hewkii's suggestion, attached his Cordak blaster to the Hahnah crab's back^{1, 7, 3, 4} in order to serve as a diversion.² When the Toa attacked, a rocket launched from the crab's back startled Mantax, allowing Jaller to tackle him.⁸ The crab's back-mounted Cordak blaster, combined with Jaller's aquatic power blade, allowed Jaller to hit enemies from two directions at once.^{1, 7, 4} Jaller later took the Cordak blaster off before using it to destroy the Cord.^{8, 9} When Matoro teleported the Toa Mahri back to Metru Nui, Jaller's Hahnah crab was left behind in the ocean,¹⁰ where it probably remained after Aqua Magna reunited with Spherus Magna.¹¹
